Accessibility
Argument Detective aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Accessibility is treated as part of the content, not an add-on.
What we do
- Every page works by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator and a skip link.
- All reference content works without JavaScript; only live search and practice need it.
- Text reflows at a 320-pixel width and stays readable at 200% zoom.
- Color never carries meaning alone — families use text labels and symbols too.
- Icons that are decorative are hidden from screen readers.
-
The
prefers-reduced-motionsetting is respected; there is no autoplay or flashing. - Pages print cleanly in black and white on Letter and A4.
Known limitations
- Wide comparison tables scroll horizontally inside their own container on small screens.
- Automated checks are necessary but not sufficient; manual screen-reader testing is ongoing.
